Job Description

The Lead Business Growth pioneers new marketing capabilities and commercial solutions for Booking.com's accommodation partners - extending what the partner marketing organisation can achieve by creating approaches that did not previously exist and proving they deliver commercial impact.

Business Growth sits within Digital Partner Ecosystem (DPE), the organisation responsible for helping Booking.com’s digitally managed accommodation partners improve their performance through scalable digital experiences, communications and commercial solutions.

The role owns initiatives end to end: from identifying the opportunity, through building and proving the solution with the teams closest to the problem, to handing the proven capability to the team that operates it at scale. This spans AI and data-driven commercial systems, partner-performance strategy and channels, and improvements to marketing tooling and automation. You'll work across ML/AI product teams, data science, engineering, revenue management, and marketing - coordinating delivery, aligning on commercial direction, and ensuring what gets built is grounded in evidence and adopted at scale.

The role represents assigned Business Growth initiatives across the wider organisation, owning the validation and delivery of strategic initiatives as part of broader business objectives - driving evidence-based decisions on what to scale, iterate, or stop.

Across this portfolio, the Lead works in an AI-native way - using data, models and agents to accelerate insight, experimentation and delivery, while applying the human judgement, quality controls and commercial evidence needed to scale responsibly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own AI and data-driven commercial systems. Define quality standards, set system logic, and steer automated solutions toward greater commercial impact and operational maturity. You decide what good looks like, make architecture and prioritisation calls, and hold technical teams to commercial outcomes.
  • Lead growth initiatives from zero to one. Identify opportunities, validate hypotheses on live partners behind appropriate controls, and build decision-ready proof of commercial uplift. You own the full arc - from first experiment to operationalised delivery.
  • Hand off what works. Transition proven capabilities to the marketing and channel teams that run them at scale, with clear ownership boundaries. Where you retain the underlying platform, you extend and improve it.
  • Develop partner-performance solutions. Define the partner problem, the target behaviour, and the decision points. Turn partner and commercial opportunities into testable recommendations, interventions and activation approaches. Coordinate day-to-day delivery across Product, Data Science, Revenue Management, Engineering and Marketing within agreed Business Growth priorities..
  • Design and run rigorous experiments. Build measurement frameworks including holdout tests, incrementality modelling, and attribution analysis. Set success thresholds and decision criteria before execution - not after. Challenge methodology where needed.
  • Analyse, investigate, recommend. Use performance and commercial data to shape priorities. Investigate anomalies and tracking issues. Make evidence-based decisions on what to scale, iterate, or stop.
  • Bring proven solutions into partner touchpoints. Work with channel and product owners to deliver recommendations and commercial outputs through relevant partner experiences. Contribute commercial, audience and UX requirements so delivery is relevant, measurable and appropriately controlled.. Coordinate delivery across partner touchpoints - email, portal, in-product surfaces. Define data contracts with consuming systems, sequence execution roadmaps, and ensure each channel supports proper measurement.
  • Support adoption and share what works. Help relevant teams adopt proven capabilities, with success measured through commercial outcomes rather than tool usage. Share reusable methods, context and learning that improve how colleagues apply AI, data and experimentation to commercial work..
  • Drive adoption beyond your own team. Get proven capabilities used across the organisation - measured by the commercial outcomes they enable, not just whether teams picked them up.
  • Raise the bar. Serve as a visible authority in commercial growth automation and experimentation methodology. Share knowledge, consult across teams, and elevate collective capability.
  • Champion the partner perspective. Ensure initiatives are grounded in evidence about partner needs and that recommendations, experiences and commercial decisions remain relevant and actionable for accommodation partners..

Requirements Of Special Knowledge/skills

  • 6+ years in marketing, product marketing, product management, or growth engineering. Commercial accountability in a B2B or partner-facing context preferred.
  • Experience working with AI/ML-driven commercial capabilities - translating commercial objectives into quality criteria, making evidence-based trade-offs, and collaborating with technical teams to improve outcomes..
  • Proven ability to design and run experiments - including setting success thresholds and decision criteria before execution.
  • Experience with incrementality measurement and attribution methodology. Able to challenge approaches, not just consume results.
  • A track record of taking projects from early concept to scaled, operationalised delivery - not just planning or piloting.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity. Can set direction before all information is available and course-correct as you learn.
  • Strong ownership mindset. Moves from strategic framing to hands-on execution without waiting for perfect direction.
  • Data literate. Uses performance and commercial data to build hypotheses, prioritise work, and investigate anomalies.
  • Business acumen to quickly understand organisational objectives, partner perspectives, and how different parts of the business connect.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience is a plus).
  • Experience coordinating across technical and commercial teams simultaneously, including distributed teams across time zones.
  • High performer managing parallel tracks, shifting scope, and competing priorities. Spots intersection points and mitigates risks early.
  • Collaborative communicator who brings stakeholders along on complex cross-functional work - even when ownership is distributed and the answers aren't obvious yet.
  • An AI-native working style. You use AI and data to accelerate research, analysis, prototyping and delivery, while applying appropriate human judgement, quality controls and commercial scrutiny.
