What the job involves

  • Amazon Freight Europe is seeking a highly analytical and data driven Finance Analyst to join our Finance Strategy & Business Partnering team as we scale our external freight business
  • Amazon Freight is in an exciting growth phase, delivering full truckload and palletised freight across the UK and EU using Amazon's proprietary network. In this high-impact role, you'll serve as the strategic finance partner to our Operations, Supply and Product teams—owning long-term planning, driving profitability, and accelerating customer growth. Your insights will directly shape senior leadership decisions as we build a sustainable, rapidly scaling business
  • This position requires a broad set of skills to be successful, that range from high level strategic thinking to deep-dive analytical problem solving. Specifically:
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop budgets and forecasts, analyse variances, and deliver data-driven recommendations to optimize resource allocation and drive performance
  • Trusted Advisor: Build strong relationships with leaders in Operations and Product, becoming their go-to finance partner
  • Constructive Challenge: Demonstrate backbone—hold senior leaders accountable and ensure we prioritise long-term value creation over short-term gains
  • Insight Generation: Deliver actionable insights on operations, market segments, products, and pricing—always asking "why" to uncover root causes
  • Amazon Freight blends advanced technology with Amazon's owned trailer fleet and trusted carrier partners across the UK and EU to move freight simply and reliably. We bring the same customer obsession that defines Amazon's consumer business to the B2B segment—partnering with customers to meet today's demands while navigating the road ahead
  • We're also committed to Amazon's Climate Pledge: net-zero carbon by 2040, a decade ahead of the Paris Agreement. We're not there yet—but if this excites you, maybe you can help us get there
