About The Role You'll work end-to-end on data science problems that directly influence Bolt's marketplace - with millions of customers daily across 50+ countries. Your work will range from exploratory analysis and experiment design to building, deploying, and monitoring predictive models in production. You'll identify opportunities through data, validate them through rigorous experiments, and take solutions from research to real-world impact. This is a high-ownership role embedded in a cross-functional product team: you'll partner closely with engineers, product managers, and operations to make sure insights don't stop at a slide deck.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and prioritise analytical and modelling opportunities - forming hypotheses, scoping the right approach, and driving work through to a decision or shipped solution.
• Build, deploy, and monitor data science solutions across the spectrum: from statistical analyses and dashboards to classical ML models and automated decision systems.
• Design and run large-scale experiments to validate product and business hypotheses, and communicate results clearly to stakeholders who act on them.
• Develop data products and frameworks that improve how product and operations teams make decisions - reducing dependency on one-off analysis requests.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to identify opportunities and develop pragmatic solutions that solve intricate business problems.

About You

• Experience in data science or applied ML in an industry setting - what you’ve shipped matters more than how many years it took
• Ownership mindset - you're comfortable driving a problem from initial exploration through to a shipped outcome, with limited hand-holding.
• Foundational knowledge of statistics and experimentation - you understand how to test an idea with data and interpret what the results actually mean.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Clear communicator: you can explain a model's logic to an engineer and its business implication to a product manager in the same conversation.
