Amazon Music is an immersive audio entertainment service that connects fans, artists, and creators through music, podcasts, audiobooks, artist merchandising and artist livestreams. We’re looking for someone who will enjoy working directly and independently with clients across the Amazon Music business and proactively collaborating with Amazon’s entertainment legal teams. You will directly advise our music business on a broad range of entertainment regulatory matters, including working as the lead lawyer on strategic projects. Next to this, you will provide day-to-day advice to clients on a wide range of legal areas, notably including product counselling for new business initiatives.

Key job responsibilities

  • Negotiating and drafting complex licensing, distribution and other commercial and industry agreements
  • Providing strategic guidance on various regulatory matters (in particular, on compliance with new laws), licensing and new entertainment industry developments
  • Closely cooperating internationally with business and legal stakeholders
  • Some travel may be required

Basic Qualifications

  • License to practice law in Europe, US or other common law jurisdiction
  • 3+ years post-qualification legal experience
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills and the ability to act as a business partner

  • Speak, write, and read fluently in French, Spanish, German or Italian
  • Can use AI for legal research, contract analysis, or document review experience
  • Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
  • Experience in copyright/licensing, entertainment, media, technology, or regulatory matters
  • Ability to develop creative and pragmatic solutions to novel legal questions
  • Good judgment in ambiguous and complex situations
